Christos Noutsos, SUNY College Old Westbury

I am a new Assistant Professor at SUNY College Old Westbury in New York. Prior to that I did my postdoc at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory. Though my whole postdoc I was serving as an Ambassador at the ASPB society. I did my PhD at Max Planck Institute for Plant Breeding in Cologne Germany. My research is primarily in the field of Genome Wide Associations using high throughput platforms such as Cyverse, Kbase and high throughput techniques such as Genomics and Phenomics. I believe that embedding research into courses is the best approach to educate the next generation undergraduate student. By participating in the leadership of the PUI section, I want to help develop resources and integrate available resources towards this goal.
